In the brilliant night of Met Gala, superstars and models, in order to correspond to the Chinese theme, many of them risked to put on the most exotic or precisely most “Chinese” garments. However, western stylists rarely understood the cultural code of China. Therefore, some stars were overdressed and over-interpreted the theme. Only a few of them catch the philosophy of the far- east country and appropriately express the Chinese aesthetic. For those Chinese stars, they tended to apply a subtle and simple way to express their own aesthetics.
